We just couldn't NOT have a Piedmont tour in 2011 so we offered a guided version of the fixed-base, 5-night self-guided tour and threw in all the dinners just to make a special value for 2011. To our delight we have Max and Claudia, Jason and Angie and Steve here with us now. We're combining pedala forte and mangia bene as you can see here with a photo of our Italian "sister" Marina shaving the truffles over our risotto last night and some of us burning off a few of those calories climbing the hills of Monferrato. In many ways this is an overlooked region as serious wine fans swarm all over Barolo and Barbaresco country, leaving Monferrato pretty much untouristed...and unspoiled.![]()
