Along the olive road

Finally, we have bikes on the road! After a hearty lunch amid olive trees we set out for Paestum and the mighty Greek temples. Of course along the way we paused for homemade gelato and espresso before climbing Monte Vesola and descending to Paestum. A sumptuous dinner with many vegetable antipasti, two first plates and a choice of one of three seconds, along with hearty Aglianico wine made in the zone we just cycled through, replenished the calories burned and sent everyone to be dreaming of our first ride along the coast tomorrow.
