Our little group poses atop Passo Pordoi in front of the monument dedicated to "Il Campionissmo" Fausto Coppi. (L-R Patrick, Catherine, Mike and yours truly) After some marvelous days cycling in the Dolomites, we "escaped" just as the crowds arrived for the Maratona this weekend. We've NEVER seen so many cyclists on the climb of Pordoi! Amazingly, the road up the valley was calmer than usual as we descended and made our way over Passo Costalunga and on to Hotel Tenz. Tomorrow we'll enjoy Passo Mendola and Palade on our way to Val Venosta.

Passo Pordoi
