Dave Zabriskie gets interviewed by Jeff Roake as the winner of the Tour of Missouri 2009. We had fun walking the circuit in KC, especially in the ethnically diverse area known as "Los Alamos" where a Mexican grocery was cooking up tamales while playing latino-themed music through big speakers. Signs and flags welcomed the racers at the top of a short, but steep climb each of the seven laps. Sadly, nothing much happened in the race other than Marco Pinotti and his Columbia team grabbing enough bonus seconds to move into third place on GC. If the race (which like most big races in the US, is plagued by funding/sponsorship issues) continues perhaps they can reduce the length of the chrono stage so the time-trial specialists don't always win?
