Ciao from St. Joseph, MO! We drove down Interstate 29 Saturday morning for a few hours, exiting near Amazonia, MO and intersected the race route. Our plan was to drive along the route, stopping at a great viewing spot, then jumping back in the car and beating the race to the finish. Finding the best viewing place only a few kms from the finish we decided instead to check out the finish town and wait for the race there. After remarking how invisible the Italian Liquigas team had been so far in this race we were rewarded with a sprint finish win by Francesco Chicchi! In the photo you can see him enjoying the kisses from the race hostesses. We're off to KC tonite to enjoy some authentic KC BBQ (we hope) and see Sunday's finale.

Tour of Missouri
