Internet connections have been spotty so far, so we're catching up on what's been going on during the Dolomites part of Legendary Climbs of the Giro. Above you see our little group ready for their first taste of the big mountains (l-r Tom, Mark, Elena, Gregg, Steve, Heather and Barbara) on a route from Laion to Antermoia.
Here's Tom on the Tre Cime di Lavaredo climb. While it was cold, it was NOTHING like the Giro racers faced - luckily for us!
Here are Allan, Mark, Steve and Tom posed at the Rifugio Auronzo atop the Tre Cime di Lavaredo climb. BRAVI!
In Cortina, a rare open night for dinner saw some of us try a local place featuring prosciutto from around the world, though their specialty is the local stuff from San Daniele.
Here you see Mark in action on the Passo Giau, making it look easy. (It's NOT!)
Elena poses atop Passo Giau.
These huge mountains make you feel quite small, as Larry demonstrates on the Passo Sella.
