Our friend Carlo Zarri in his personal wine cellar
FINALLY! Someone takes on Robert Parker, a wine-reviewer we're not so fond of.
While we accept the alcoholic (15+%) heavy, viscous "fruit bombs" this guy so often hands out the high scores to have their place, it's not often in OUR glass. We've tried to change our guests thinking on this subject by featuring local wines in Italy, some too rare to be exported.
We've heard over the years from more than one producer in Italy about what they call "Parker Wines" and how they refuse to make them.
It seems some winemakers in California have the same idea. Check out the New York Times story, Wrath of Grapes HERE.
