Italy continues to suffer through a nasty heat wave, making our tour in the mountains the place to be!
Above you see the famous switchbacks of the Passo Stelvio.
Above, Brent contemplates what's ahead of him on the famous climb.
Heather shows her respect for Il Pirata, Marco Pantani at his memorial on the Passo Mortirolo.
Jen realizes one of her cycling dreams by reaching the summit of the infamous Mortirolo...
...and celebrates with chocolate cake soon afterwards. Fuel for the Passo Gavia of course!
And even Larry got his fat, out-of-shape a__ out there on the Passo Gavia, though not for the entire climb. Both he and Heather are still way short of form after a winter in the chaos of Rome and other obligations. But we're trying just the same!!!
Jeff poses atop the Passo Gavia. Today was one of the clearest (and warmest) days we've seen up here.
Tonight we'll enjoy a dinner of Valtellina specialties then wind up the tour with a ride along Lake Como and climb to Madonna del Ghisallo tomorrow.
