Wednesday's rain and wind made for a perfect excuse to take a day off the bike, grab a gift bottle of prosecco and head south to visit our friend Gianluca in Oxnard, home of Albabici. Larry forgot to bring the camera so you'll have to be content with this photo taken at Interbike 2009 of Gianluca and one-year-old Isabella. Albabici imports and distributes SMP, Sci-Con and Hibros, all "Official Suppliers" to CycleItalia as well as BiciSupport, Fondriest, Nalini and Limar from their office/warehouse in Oxnard, CA. After some looks at new products and talk of Italian politics it was time to head off for pranzo and some lively conversation about the bike biz, cycling in Italy (Gianluca used to ride with pro Eros Poli back in their junior days) and ways we can help each other. Too soon it was time to head "home" to Santa Barbara so we bid arrivederci to Gianluca and his small staff for another year. GRAZIE GIANLUCA!
