We stopped for pranzo during our ride from Santa Vittoria d'Alba to Terruggia at a longtime favorite, Trattoria Tre Colli in Montechiaro d'Asti. With 62 kms to cover to get there we were good and hungry--so much so that we probably overdid it, especially since we should have conserved our appetites for the farewell dinner at Ariotto. But who can resist specialties like anchovies in green sauce or risotto with nettles and sausage? Not us! After 40 more kms to get "home" we did anticipate our farewell dinner, complete with roasted rabbit by special request. We all tumbled into bed thinking of next year's Paradise in Piedmont or for some, another "pedala forte, mangia bene!" adventure. Buona notte!
